The Survivor Resource Center, which opened in February 2021, offers a short-term, small-scale solution to the complicated process that survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child maltreatment can face when they seek help. This referral-only center is a temporary precursor to The Umbrella Center. The Survivor Resource Center includes a broad range of services for Mecklenburg County survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child maltreatment.

At the Survivor Resource Center, Mecklenburg County Community Support Services, Mecklenburg County Department of Social Services, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD), Pat's Place Child Advocacy Center, and Safe Alliance collaborate to determine the highest lethality cases on a referral-only basis for survivors. In addition, the Survivor Resource Center provides "navigator staff" to guide survivors through the multi-step process.

If you are a victim or survivor in need of help, or a referring community partner, please reach out to the Greater Charlotte Hope Line at 980.771.4673.
