The Survivor Resource Center, which opened in February 2021, offers a short-term, small-scale solution to the complicated process that survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child maltreatment can face when they seek help. This center is a temporary precursor to The Umbrella Center and includes a broad range of services for Mecklenburg County survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child maltreatment.

At the Survivor Resource Center, Mecklenburg County Community Support Services, Mecklenburg County Department of Social Services, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD), Pat's Place Child Advocacy Center, and Safe Alliance collaborate to provide wraparound services for survivors. In addition, the Survivor Resource Center provides advocates to guide survivors through the multi-step process.

If you are a victim or survivor in need of help, or a referring community partner, please reach out to the Greater Charlotte Hope Line at 980.771.4673.
